ALL BECAUSE SOMEONE DECIDED TO BE A BULLY
Imagine not having a mother only being able to say 10 words the first eight years of your life, being born at 28 weeks, doctors outlook for your life is very dark and grim, did I mention no siblings or family members who wanted to have anything to do with me all because they believed I wasn’t worth their time. My saving Grace was my grandma Ms. Nonnie Hawkins who knew that GOD’S Hands were all over my life and she wasn’t going to stop helping me until I became more than my Greatest.
Hi I’m Emmanuel Taran Hawkins, Better known as the “Miracle baby” born against the odds and making medical history. You see my Mom Tara was an 18 year old first year college student and 12 weeks pregnant with me, when a homeless teenage boy who asked her for $10.00. She gave it to him, and in return he brutally attacked her, leaving her in a coma and brain dead.
Doctors said it was medically impossible for me to develop, and grow in my mother in her condition, but imagine their surprise when my Mother pushed me out at 28 weeks without help from doctors (they were no where to be found), not only was this the first of its kind it made headline news around the world.
My story has been published and featured in numerous publications in the United States, United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. I was the cover story of The Atlanta Journal Constitution’s Thanksgiving Holiday Edition. My story has appeared in the JET Magazine, The Champion News, Enquirer News, Closer Magazine in UK, just to name a few. I made television appearances highlighted on Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer, in addition my story was covered on CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX5 and Affiliates, 11 Alive, and THE ASSOCIATED PRESS.
I became a Superhero writing my world renowned Comic Book “Bully Me? No Way!” The Adventures Of “Super Love Boy” with my Grandma’s help to honor my Mother and to shine light that together we are the change.
I spent my first birthday on GMA, after my Mom laid in a coma and brain dead for a 115 days with me inside of her. Doctors told my grandma that there’s nothing they could do to help my mother and she should abort me, once my grandmother refused the doctors request they told my grandma that my mother was no longer the patient and they wouldn’t do anything to help her. They fed her 2 cans of ensure a day waiting for both of us to expire, to everyone’s surprise because of HIS Mercy and Grace I started to grow and develop; but doctors still didn’t believe that my outcome would be positive telling my grandma that I would come out stillborn or severely impaired wouldn’t be able to do anything, walk, talk or anything remotely close was definitely out of the picture.
So on March 16th the miracle happened to show the World that nothing is impossible to those who believe. Like I shared before my mother was in a coma and brain dead only being fed 2 cans of Ensure daily my Mom pushed me out without help from doctors (they were no where to be found) my story made headlines News the first of it’s kind at such a low gestation with the medical professional saying it’s impossible that she was able to do that in her condition.
Meet my Mother Tara Marie Hawkins, through memories (like I had to do). She was brutally beaten which left her brain dead and in a coma while 12 weeks pregnant with me, all because a young guy she was trying to help decided to be a bully, while 5 other teens stood on the sidelines watching .
