SAFETY TIPS
Super Love Boy and The Bully Me? No Way Team “SAFETY TIPS”
1
NEVER BE AFRAID TO CALL 911 FOR HELP IF NEEDED.
2
MAKE A PLAN WITH YOUR FAMILY AND SCHOOL AND ENSURE EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO IF ANY DANGER IS NEAR
3
IF YOU SEE OR HEAR ANYTHING THAT CAN HARM YOU OR OTHERS TELL AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.
4
ALWAYS BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AND ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE, REPORT IT RIGHT AWAY.
5
NEVER STAND ON THE SIDELINES OR IN THE BACKGROUND AND WATCH AS SOMEONE IS BEING ATTACKED OR HARASSED. GET HELP IMMEDIATELY. IF NO HELP IS AROUND, TRY TO REMEMBER, WHO, WHERE, WHAT, WHY AND HOW TO GIVE A REPORT ASAP.
6
START A BULLY ME? NO WAY! CLUB IN YOUR SCHOOL AND NEIGHBORHOOD BY MAKING BUDDY SYSTEMS WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND CLASSMATES. ALWAYS TRY TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER AND NEVER KEEP A SECRET OF SOMEONE GETTING OR BEING HURT.
7
A GREAT WAY TO HELP THE ADULTS THAT’S RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU TO BE ACCOUNTABLE IS WRITE DOWN YOUR CONCERNS. MAKE COPIES AND GIVE ONE TO THE TEACHER, PRINCIPAL, COUNSELOR, YOUR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS AND A TRUSTED ADULT. BY DOING THIS, YOU HAVE COVERED ALL BASES. MAKING SURE YOUR CONCERNS AREN’T OVERLOOKED.
If you are in Crisis and need someone to Talk to, there is a 24-hour HOTLINE with trained counselors.
Call 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
Please note the hotline is not a part of BMNW but another organization that wants to help…
